Construction

Appearance


 

CPR is self-healing cylindrical construction capacitor, which is wounded with metalized polypropylene film dielectric, flame retardant resin seal. These capacitors are especially designed primarily for used in single phase.

Features:

  • For motor application
  • Flame retardant plastic case
  • Epoxy resin end seal

Specification:

  • Operating temperature: -40°C ~ +85°C (metalized polypropylene film)
  • Capacitance range: 0.75µF ~ 35µF
  • Capacitance tolerance: ±5% (J); ±10% (K); ±150% (U);  ±100% (X); ±20% (M)
  • Rated voltage: 100VAC ~ 600VAC for UL; 400VAC, 450VAC for VDE
  • Dissipation factor: 0.1% max at 1KHz 25°C (metalized polypropylene film)
  • Insulation resistance:
    Between terminals        
    C>1.0μF 1000MΩXμF/100VDC 60s            
    C≦1.0μF 1000MΩ/100VDC 60s
    Terminals to case ≧2000MΩXμF/100VDC
  • Withstanding standard:
    Between terminals: Rated voltage x 2.15VAC 10sec for VDE
    Between terminals: Rated voltage x 1.5VAC 10sec for UL
    Terminals to case: Rated voltage x 2+1000VAC (min 2000VAC) 60sec
                                               

Performance:

Withstand voltage: Between terminals Apply 1.5 times of rated voltage for 10 sec for UL.
Apply 1.5 times of rated voltage for 10 sec for VDE
Charge discharge current must be 1A max
Shall be no abnormality
(Promise intermittent self-healing)
Withstand voltage: Between terminals & enclosure Apply rated voltagex2+1000VAC (2000VAC min) For 60s Shall be no abnormality
Insulation resistance: Between terminals Apply voltage 100VDC for 60s ≤1.0μF 1000MΩ; >1.0μF 1000MΩ*μF
Insulation resistance: Between terminals & enclosure Apply voltage 100VDC for 60s 2000MΩ
Humidity test: Appearance Shall be no abnormality Temperature: 40±3℃; Humidity: 90-95% RH
Testing time: 500±12 Hrs.
After testing, leave it for 1Hrs or more but within 2Hrs at standard condition
Withstand voltage is 150% rated voltage, 10 sec.
Shall be no abnormality
Humidity test: Withstand voltage Shall be no abnormality
Humidity test: Insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ
Humidity test: Dissipation factor Increased value shall be 0.5x10-3 max
Humidity test: Rate of variation capacitance Within ±5% of the value before test
Endurance test: Appearance Temperature: Maximum permissible temperature ±3℃
Test voltage : Rate voltage x 1.25
Test time: (+24; -0) 600Hrs
No remarkable abnormality
Endurance test: Capacitance Rate of variation to initial value shall be within ±5%
Endurance test: Dielectric dissipation factor at high temperature Rate of increase to initial value shall be max 1.2. However, for capacitor using plastic film only as dielectric, increased value shall be 0.5x10-3 max
